Draft Notes 3/13/2013; Frazier, Denney, & More
By now, everyone has chimed in on Clint Frazier‘s performance in last night’s game between Loganville and Grayson, including BLF’s Kevin Rosa here. If you are on this site, you have probably already seen this video, if not, it speaks louder than my words.
Frazier isn’t the only top prospect off to a hot start to the season. Yukon catcher Jonathan Denney is putting in a claim on the top catcher spot in the draft. He has 13 hits in his first 16 at bats, with 4 doubles, 1 triple, and 4 home runs.
Reports are that James Madison shortstop Andy McGuire is healthy and impressing scouts. I have been told that he looks stronger and quicker than he did last summer.
A more complete roundup of college stats will probably be posted tomorrow, but I wanted to check in on a few of last summer’s more impressice hitters.

I gotta be honest..I’m liking Phil Ervin a whole lot. I think his physical stuff gets a bum wrap because of Samford and everything but he’s deffinately a big time talent.
Also Denney has a stupid 812 Average or something unbelieveable like that.With 7 intentional walks and 0 K’s so far.
You are an idiot for the comments about Denney. I have been at every game and the stats are correct. Have you seen him play. I think not. Get your facts right before you make a stupid comment.
I got the stats from Denney himself so I know just how good he’s doing.
I simply meant an 812 AVG is unbelieveable as in those are video game #s as in it’s crazy he’s doing so well.
I would recommend reading something through and understanding it first before making such outlandish statements.
