JJ Bleday 2016 Phenom?
You May be wondering why Donnie Wahlberg and the NKOTB crew is on this site but here’s a tribute to another New Kid On the Block.
Normally I wouldn’t write a post about a kid who’s graduating 3 years from now.But in this case I’ll make a very rare exception.JJ Bleday is a 6’3 LHP from PA and from what I’ve seen he’s got incredible now stuff. What Really Impressed me was the breaking ball.I think it’s got the shot to be a deadly pitch for him down the road.Try to keep in mind he’s a freshmen at the moment. It’s got an 11-5 Break on it and he already uses it at will.He commands all of his pitches well and for me that’s what really stood out. Obviously this young and his size there’s alot to dream on so this is to serve as a warning of sorts look out for this kid in the future.
There’s a brief view of him at the Under Armour Pre-Season All American event.

Already hitting 2016, I like it. I’m not sure how Bleday will feel about being represented by the New Kids though.
I hope he doesn’t hold it against me haha.
I checked on the Velocity of Bleday’s Fastball and I found 82 to 85 which is get for a 2016 player.
Yea so far I haven’t really found a reason not to be impressed by this kid.Being so young and where he’s at with his now stuff there’s certainly alot to dream on.
What is this website supposed to before? I threw a no hitter first varsity game in my career.
That is very impressive. We are a scouting website.
Haha I was getting worried for a second on what it was. Thank you sir and I appreciate this article a lot
you NEVER let people this young throw curve balls
remember this was said here… will be early TJS victim…
That’s some old school stuff Mack.I think as baseball has evolved our understanding has come along as well.As long as the kid has proper mechanics and is alright on that front Curveballs and other pitches really don’t cause any more risk then a fastball.
Again,
Not all kids this age have good mechanics and such but he’s a freshmen in high school he’s a big kid I really have no problem letting youngsters throw breaking pitches again as long as mechanically there sound.Which in this case I’d say Bleday is.
The breaking ball is great, and the build is ideal. Anyone else feel like that umpire totally blows after watching the video? lol
He’s a kid I deffinately am looking forward too seeing how 2016 goes for him and how he looks then.
The breaking ball was what really made me take a second look.
