The Seedlings piece on Kohl Stewart made a very good point. It’s 1 of the biggest selling points for me about him.The fact he oozes that fiery desire to compete. It’s apparent watching him on the mound that he’s a gamer no doubt about it.I think he could be a ace of the future. The pure stuff could deffinately develop as such and I think the mental side of things is covered.

  2. Kevin says:

Garrett Williams the LHP with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.Played for Team USA and was in the LLWS.He’s a odd one for me his future is deffinately on the mound and he looked good off it.But the injury is a rare one if im not mistaken I don’t know of another athlete with it so I wish I could get more information on that because he has a very nice arm from the left side.

Kevin, recovery rate for TOS is good. Mitchell Traver had it last year. There have been Major Leaguers who have had it; Kenny Rogers, Bonderman, Matt Harrison, and more.

  4. Kevin says:

Matt what do you think of Mitchell Traver Freddy Avis and Alec Rash? I see all 3 being very high picks in 2015 especially Avis.I usually don’t like Stanford players all that much(Appel is a hugh example and I think Austin Wilson is another Michael Taylor in the making) but Avis I really liked while at Menlo.

As far as Garrett Williams goes thats good to hear.I’ve really liked what I’ve seen so far from him. After going over what I could from the Prospect Classic and TOS as well as the NHSI, I’ve really liked what i’ve seen from Keegan Thompson and Garrett Williams.Ro Coleman who’s listed at 5’0 even by USA but 5’7 by Perfect Game also stood out.Dominic Taccolini as I mentioned before with his violent head whack and all looked really good.Pete Alonso has a very nice bat and some of the best HS power I’ve seen so far.

Stephen Gonsalves is a top LHP by most peoples accounts and he looked very good.I’ve heard some places his breaking ball is a big concern and then others that he has a very good curve. Also some people say he has a Plus Changeup and it’s a split change if I’m not mistaken correct? What i’m trying to ask is some clarification on his arsenal as well as how you view it’s caliber.

  5. Matt Grabusky says:

Traver, Rash, and Avis all have the ability to be high picks in 2015. Out of those three, I am believe Traver has the best chance to be a top of the first player. That depends on his recovery from TJ though.

Pete Alonso is a high school position player who should probably be getting a little more attention than what he is right now. Nick Longhi is another.

I will let Gallo handle the Gonsalves question, he has seen Gonsalves in person more than once, so he should have a pretty good read on it.
