Scouting Report:

I may have heard as wide a range of opinions on Adam Plutko as any other 2013 draft prospect.

  • Fastball 86-92
  • High 70’s slider that can show nice break
  • Curve
  • Change (80-83) flashes very good potential
  • Flyball pitcher who works up in the zone
  • Command issues in 2012
  • High 3/4 arm slot

Quotes:

Plutko-  “I think a lot of it has to do with deception in my delivery I’m a fast ball pitcher, and I don’t shy away from that.  It’s a lot easier to get outs with the ball in the air than with the ball on the ground. A lot more things can happen I think deception has a large key in that.”
