Scouting Report:
Ryne Stanek was a 3rd round selection in the 2010 MLB Draft. With good size and stuff that is great at times, he figures to be one of, if not the, first pitchers selected in 2013.
- Mid 90′s fastball, tops out at 97
- Mid 80′s slider is plus, at times
- Curve
- Low 80′s change is a good and improving pitch
- 3/4 arm slot
- Mechanics, which have been a cause of concern, are improving

Quotes:
Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn- ”I think he was a little more under control with his mechanics. It just seemed easy, smooth. The fastball was jumping out of his hands, it was easy. Wasn’t like he was overthrowing. He’d go 2‑0, and he was able to throw a strike. That was huge. He just looked like a polished pitcher tonight. I thought he did a great job on a tough stage. I was just real proud of him.”
