The 18U National Team trials are underway and the Collegiate National Team topped Wilington tonight. Here are a few notes from each:

Collegiate National Team 7, Wilmington 4
- Marco Gonzales went 2-3 with a double.
- Kris Bryant hit a home run for Team USA.
- Adam Plutko pitched 4 shutout inning, allowing 1 hit and striking out 5.
- Johnathon Crawford and Bobby Wahl each contibuted 1 shutout inning, with Wahl striking out the side in his 1 inning of work.

Sternagel is a guy I’m tabbing to be a riser. Really liked the swing when I was researching 2013 and 2014 players over the winter.
I haven’t seen or researched him enough to give a decent opinion of him, but you are not alone in thinking he is a guy who will be moving up boards.
I was working on some early rankings, but decided to let the summer play out a bit more before actually posting any. Right now, I would probably be too swayed by the hot prospects of the moment.
